Lockheed Martin Senior Electronics Engineer, ASIC & FPGA Design in Littleton, Colorado

Description: Littleton, CO:

Senior Electronics Engineer, ASIC & FPGA Design will be working for the Central ASIC & FPGA Engineering organization on a program as needed.

The Senior Electronics Engineer candidate will have experience in the following ASIC and FPGA design activities with minimal level of oversight:

- Documenting requirements for the design from system level requirements.

- Support development such of the architecture, design, analysis, and test.

- Support technical reviews and be able to present to internal and external customers.

- Support an independent verification team verifying the design.

*Ability to obtain SECRET Clearance required for this role.

Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, ASIC, Application-Specific Integrated Circuits , SoC, FPGA, Field Programmable Gate Arrays, UVM, OVM, VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, C++, Java, IP cores

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience in FPGA or ASIC design

- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog

Desired Skills:

- Demonstrated experience implementing and testing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for communications systems.

- Experience with OFDM based protocols.

- Experienced in developing FPGAs/ASICs for high-reliability applications in space environments.

- Experience developing with Xilinx Virtex-5QV and/or Xilinx 7-series or newer devices.

- Experience evaluating IP cores from multiple vendors and performing trade studies to determine optimal solution.

- Experience in the architecture definition, design, debug and test of FPGA devices used in high reliability applications with minimal technical oversight.

- Experience leading small-to-medium teams of FPGA designers, including reporting cost and schedule metrics to project management. - Must have successfully completed high complexity designs from concept to production.

- Comfortable working a flexible schedule in a small, high performance team to achieve aggressive, quick-turn demonstrations.

- Experience with Mathworks Matlab/Simulink and HDL Coder for FPGA development.

- Experience with Mentor Graphics Modelsim or Questasim, Synopsys Synplify Pro, Xilinx ISE and/or Vivado, Microsemi Libero IDE and/or Libero SoC.

- Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience using MS office products is preferred.
