Lockheed Martin Software Engineer in Littleton, Colorado

Description: The selected candidate will work as an embedded real-time hardware\\software engineer in support of the Space Systems Space Vehicle Integration Laboratory (SVIL) and Testbed and Simulation Product Line. The lab contains many real-time simulators and testbeds representing spacecraft components and I/O data busses as well as Command & Data Handling (C&DH) avionics executing spacecraft flight software against robust simulation software models of spacecraft components.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical field with 2 years of hardware engineering/development experience or 0 years with a Masters degree.

Basic understanding of hardware design principles.

Basic understanding of software design

A demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete projects in a timely manner is required.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing is required.

The ability to work well in a team environment and independently is required.

Desired Skills:

Any below considered a significant trait, all not expected

Software Skills

-Experience with real-time development environments and languages (C, C++,

Embedded C++, Python) and debuggers.

-Experience with SW aided Hardware Testing

-FPGA/VHDL experience

-Experience with UNIX and/or Linux Environments

- Basic cable design experience

- Basic mechanical design experience

Hardware skills

- Experience with schematic design and board layout

- Experience with Zuken schematic tool suite

- Hardware test/debug experience

- Use of hardware tools such as a DMM and oscilloscope

Other

- AGILE design expereince

- Ability to read/write hardware/software specs and ICDs

- Ability to focus on work multiple priorities

General aerospace knowledge and experience is also a plus.
