Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer, Power Subsystems, Early Career in Littleton, Colorado

Interested in joining us as a Power Systems Engineer ? If so, you will support the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) operations group within Space Systems Company as the electrical power subsystem team member during their primary and extended missions, performing subsystem operations engineering tasks.


• Modeling, prediction of subsystem performance, analysis of problems, and documentation of problems and corrective actions.

• Provide subsystem inputs to systems engineering for spacecraft sequence development and review the resulting sequences for correct operation of the subsystem, for both nominal and special event sequences.

• Maintain a database of current and long-term subsystem trending and performance data for quarterly and yearly reviews.

• Maintain and update software tools for sequence review, performance prediction and other tasks.

• Support team meetings and periodic reviews.

• Occasionally work irregular work hours in support of special activities.


• General systems engineering knowledge

• Power systems design experience

• Excellent presentation, oral and written skills

• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills

You will typically have 2 - 5 years of professional experience for this role.

To be considered for this position, you will need to have an active Secret clearance .

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Power systems design experience.

• Must have an active Secret clearance, thus you are a citizen of the United States.

Desired Skills:

• General systems engineering knowledge

• Experience with Matlab, Unix/Linux, and SPICE or equivalent electronics Simulation Tool

• Good writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills

• Strong organization and, interpersonal/team skills.

• Ability to work independently and multi-task, demonstrated skills, and a desire to proactively own tasks thru to closure.

• Self-starter who can develop solutions to technical issues with only general direction.

• Excellent presentation, oral and written skills

• Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

• Demonstrated ability to act independently
