Space Protection Program Staff Systems Engineer for the Systems Engineering & Integration Team, reporting to the SEIT Lead, is responsible for leading the development of the system architecture and design; ensuring the integration and implementation of efficient system engineering processes across Space, Ground and Payload teams from program origination through preliminary design review, and with the potential for continuation into subsequent lifecycle phases, through system deployment and initial operations. Critical responsibilities may include leading and/or performing the following: • System requirement analysis and decomposition • System architecture development and modeling • Evaluation of Acceptance Criteria • Interface definition and development • Requirement verification • System trade study definition/execution • TPM analysis and critical method analysis • Test procedure development • Working with enterprise and customer to tailor process and product compliance requirements to align with program objectives • Mission CONOP development • Proposal development • Coordinating and collaborating with other IPTs, LM2100 COE, suppliers, and customers to ensure success of the SEIT organization.
Basic Qualifications • Bachelors degree in engineering, math, physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience • 3+ years of systems engineering experience • Experience with requirements definition, verification and validation • Experience with authoring technical requirements, plans or procedures • Demonstrated experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, systems, flight sciences, materials, manufacturing, test, etc.) • Demonstrated experience developing mission operation scenarios and CONOPs • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment • Must have working experience with Intelligence Community (IC) and/or Department of Defense (DoD) • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI with an investigation within 5 years
