This is a Systems Engineer Stf position in the C4ISR market segment in the C6ISR line of business, specifically for the Operational C2 portfolio of programs. The candidate will be part of the Engineering & Technology team providing engineering and technical support and leadership across programs, IRADs, and captures. The ideal candidate has a strong Systems Engineering, Integration & Test background with experience working with C4ISR & BMD technical and cross-functional teams (e.g. Systems, Hardware, Software, etc.) through the different program lifecycle phases. Strong Command and Control (C2) experience to be applied on air or maritime defense programs, which include mission planning, track management, engagement management, and weapons management over fiber/copper networks and tactical data links. Obtaining approval of engineering products through engineering reviews and engineering milestone events (e.g. Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, etc.) is required. System design skills associated with Architecture Modeling, Conceptual and preliminary design trade studies/analyses, Design Documentation Preparation and Maintenance, Interface Detailed Definition and Design, Model Based Systems and Engineering Design and Development, Performance Analysis Execution, Process Tailoring for Projects, System of Systems Design may be employed. Experience with Model Based Engineering and Model Based System Design (MBSD) processes (e.g. DoDAF, Agile, Automation) and tools (e.g. MagicDraw/Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody) is a plus. Experience with Requirements Management, Requirement Development and Definition Support in the areas of Requirements Analysis and Decomposition, Requirement Compliance Analysis, Requirements Assessment, Requirements Traceability, Interface Requirements Analysis, Requirements Verification Matrix Preparation and Maintenance will be utilized. The ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that will enable them to work with the technical team and the technical and program leadership. Potential domestic and international travel may be required. A Secret clearance is required. This a permanent position in Littleton, CO.
Basic Qualifications - Demonstrated strong technical background in C4ISR & BMD technologies and products - Must be knowledgeable in RMS engineering processes, development of engineering deliverables - Must be self-motivated, with excellent relationship building skills and must possess good communication skills, both oral and written. - Proficient with MS Office products and experience with graphic presentation programs.
Desired skills - Familiarity with DOORS, JIRA (or other database management tools) - Familiarity with system architecture modeling tools (e.g. Rhapsody, MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect) - Knowledge in Earned Value Management/Cost Account Management (CAM) principles - Ability to develop, track and maintain schedules - Experience or familiarity with Risk & Opportunity Management - Experience optimizing processes and workflows utilizing tools, technology, and people - Demonstrated ability to actively and successfully engage externally with Customers, including U.S. Navy and Air Force program offices and International military customers and internally with Technical Leads, Chief Architects and Software Developers
