System Engineer supporting for satellite operations with responsibility for developing new command product baselines for GEO5/6 program.

You will provide updates to existing product baselines in support of ongoing mission products.

You will be integrating System & Vehicle CONOPS, and constraints into executable command sequences that define the high level execution steps required for satellite operations covering the entire satellite life cycle.

You will work with local and factory SME/CPE's, mission operations personnel and subcontractors to consolidate technical inputs into integrated solutions.

Additional responsibilities include supporting Launch and Early Orbit Test readiness and execution cycles along with anomaly recall support

Basic Qualifications:

Coursework in mechanical/aerospace/electrical engineering

Candidate must be a team player and be willing to support occasional shift work and rotating weeks on-call for possible recall support around-the-clock.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.

Occasional overtime and weekend work is required as necessary during launch cycles and for anomaly support.

Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

Some travel may be required.

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship

Desired Skills:

Desire to work in Mission Operations. Experience as a launch team member or experience with a flight readiness program launching a satellite system.

Experience with creating and managing complex system (or vehicle) documentation and developing engineering solutions to solve operational issues.

Understanding of the satellite anomaly process; resolution and root cause analysis.

Experience in Systems Engineering, coursework in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

Proficient at MATLAB applications and C++ programing. Satellite Toolkit (STK) experience. Satellite operations experience.
