Description: Department Manager for Operations Engineering at the Missiles and Fire Control plant located in Lufkin, TX. Lufkin Operations is a center of excellence in advanced electronics manufacturing and subassembly integration & testing for multiple full-rate production and development programs. This position oversees all aspects of operations engineering including Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Process Planning. Leads a staff of over 34 highly skilled and motivated employees across the site, including 12 direct reports. Responsible for lean/six sigma implementation, PMT performance, site metric performance, proposals, configuration change control, and all engineering activities common to production support. Other responsibilities include capacity and capital expenditure oversight for the factory and ensuring sufficient production support for internal customers and the Program Office. This individual is responsible for Overhead, CAM, and EV budget management.

Bachelors degree. Strong leadership skills. Proficiency in briefing skills, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Proven ability to lead a diverse organization. Ability to provide technical mentoring and direction. Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so all candidates must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

Electrical or Mechanical engineering education or experience. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of leadership (including both technical and non-technical). Certified LSS Black Belt. Ability to develop and retain talent is a plus.
