Lockheed Martin AN/BQQ-10 ARCI Q-70 Field Technician in Manassas, Virginia
Description: Technical services in support of, but not limited to AN/BQQ-10 (ARCI) and USS Virginia Class sub-systems. Field Support Technician responsible for the introduction, installation and testing of the latest SONAR technology to the US Navy Submarine Fleet.
These services shall include as a minimum the following on-board Lockheed Martin/Fleet/NAVSEA tasking: Installation duties in support of new equipment and units, SONAR System Groom and Testing including network support, Troubleshooting Expertise (including fiber optic), Corrective Actions, Maintenance Training Software installation and System Software and Hardware support. Installation work requires personnel to be on travel 50% of the time. Applicant must be able to a DOD Secret Clearance. When not on travel the employee will work out of the Manassas Virginia LM Facility where employee will as the technical expert for the ARCI and Q70 programs in terms of repair and returns, supporting system deliveries to the Fleet, and supporting Software Updates to the Fleet. Employee will also assist the ARCI Customer Support Center in recommending and advising the Program Office and Fleet on all matters in regards to the Lockheed Martin ARCI and Q70 products.
A minimum of three years of experience in: Knowledge and operation of shipboard test equipment, Operation and Maintenance of the AN/BQQ-10 SONAR Suite and Q-70/TIH products or equivalent Surface SONAR System, and a solid understanding of all classes of submarine subsystems and ship board practices.
Requires proficient use of Microsoft products.
Qualified Candidate must be able to obtain a DOD Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting this position.
The ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast paced environment and completed assigned duties based on schedule and Fleet needs. Candidates should have excellent communication and writing skills. Prior USN Submarine experience in an electronics field desired.
