Lockheed Martin Project Engineer Sr in Manassas, Virginia
Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS) organization is seeking a highly skilled, team-oriented project engineer to join in supporting the Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) division. In this position, you will oversee all engineering and technical aspects of our next phase digital transformation and cloud initiatives to assure the highest level of accuracy and quality. You will prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects, complying with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Engage with the business colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels to leverage the capabilities and services across the organization. • Author system functional requirements and technical design documentation • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting in a structured, gated process. • Pro-actively identify and resolve issues that may impact the business’ ability to achieve Mission Success. • Assembling teams, Conducting / Leading team meetings and providing project direction to software engineers, systems engineers, performance engineers, etc.
Position is located at any major RMS facility.
U.S. citizenship required.
Basic Qualifications • 3 - 5 years maintaining business applications • Technical experience in design, development, testing, deployment and operational support on Microsoft, Oracle, and/or Java Platforms and Architecture • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement • Develop in an Agile/Scrum methodologies, taking ownership of tasks and stories within the sprint.
Desired skills Working knowledge of: • Atlassian Toolset (Jira, Git, or Bitbucket) and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS) • Team player works unselfishly with others • Detail oriented, able to negotiate multiple responsibilities • Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement • Software development skills Assembling teams, Conducting / Leading team meetings and providing project direction to software engineers, systems engineers, performance engineers, etc. • Troubleshooting skills • User of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera and/or Open Plan • Takes initiative to work through roadblocks and issues
