Description: Sustainment Experience Group Senior Manager

Role Description

• The experience group senior manager takes ownership of the ultimate success of Sustainment and is responsible for all of its work, including the management of work-streams & communication of its overall strategic vision

• Partner with stakeholders, working with Aero business and broader Lockheed Martin enterprise on key enterprise initiatives

• Align with counterparts in Architecture/Digitization orgs on enterprise initiatives to determine strategy, roadmaps, tech directions, integration with FEP, etc.

• Engage in PI Planning sessions to align on overall vision and plan; oversee cross-product epic grooming, alignment, and sequencing of work

• Ensure that teams are adhering to Agile fundamentals and maximizing productivity through sound Agile practices

Responsibilities

Customer and stakeholder engagement

• Own intake process for new work affecting multiple experience teams

• Prioritize (jointly with customers) new requests against existing backlogs

• Communicate decisions, priorities, and other relevant cross-product initiative information to appropriate stakeholders

• Aggregated and report team-level metrics to leadership and stakeholders

Cross-experience backlog management and prioritization

• Maintain and prioritizes experience group backlog of requests (epic level)

• Prioritize cross-experience initiatives

• Engage senior leadership on urgent prioritization concerns

• Deprioritize work when business value is not being realized

Agile process facilitation

• Attend daily scrum of scrum to resolve or escalate roadblocks as necessary

• Participate in quarterly planning sessions to manage interdependencies with platforms

Team resourcing and management

• Coordinate team resourcing and budgeting

Location preference: Fort Worth, TX / Marietta, GA / Palmdale, CA. Location flexible to alternative major LM sites with the ability to travel as needed to support the Aeronautics business

Desired Skills: Domain Knowledge

• Use of analytical solutions to grow sustainment capabilities

• Aircraft fleet sustainment operations data, sources, and capabilities

• Military and commercial sustainment models

• Knowledge of SAP and Global Trade Services (GTS)

• Basic knowledge of Bills of Material

• Familiarity with Final Assembly and Check-Out (FACO) systems and processes

• Engineering and Tech Pub data

• Strategic vendor relationships

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Capabilities

• Knowledge of Sustainment processes

• Knowledge of Sustainment systems and strategies

• Knowledge/experience in agile, application development, DevSecOps, cloud, automated test, disruptive technologies, and cyber security

• FSL and CoA leadership traits, ability to work in teams, ability to work with Aero Sustainment personnel, and to collaborate with Sustainment and IT personnel across LM

• Strong executive presentation and communication skills, ability to represent Aero on enterprise and industry initiatives
