Description: Provide Air Mobility & Maritime Missions (AMMM) Depot Operations Modification Retrofit (DOMR) technical support at Marietta, GA for the maintenance of aircraft through depot/modification/customer locations. Successful candidate will oversee depot operations, modifications, planning, schedules, and documentation responsibilities within the DOMR Team. Responsible for depot-level program execution on air vehicles undergoing maintenance activities at their respective depot site. Provides program direction to the mod sites, but within the local management guidelines of their respective locations. Briefs Team Leader and Program Management on depot/mod performance, aircraft status, and schedule changes/deviations. Oversees Plans, Scheduling, and Documentation Section. Focuses on preparing the detailed aircraft retrofit and modification schedule or Depot Flow Plan.
DOMR technical support may include mod engineering support, depot maintenance assistance support, mod kit proofing and Trial Kit Installation support, aircraft functional and operational test support and aircraft receipt and delivery support. Support may include Configuration Management requirements, Digital Information Management System/Electronic Change Request System (DIMS/ECRS) drawings and related technical interface documents as required. May include travel to other AMMM or customer locations if requested to support mission requirements. Provide modification and retrofit planning, development, and execution leadership support. Analyze engineering design changes to determine retrofit material and installation labor costs. Assess engineering requirements for retrofit impacts to determine Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) type, special tooling requirements, turn-around asset requirements, AF Form 873 requirements, modification task definition, aircraft out of service time, and implementation requirements. Monitors modification status reviews for cost, schedule, and technical impacts on mods and budgets and assist in providing assessment and technical support for evaluating and responding to Program Management (PM), Systems Program Office (SPO) and Major Commands (MAJCOMs) field related problems, technical and cost inquires, and support queries based on leadership direction. Responsible for creating briefings and reports to the DOMR team as needed. Must be able to work and communicate well in a team environment and assist project managers in monitoring and evaluating modification progress and assist in problem solving with project managers and leadership as necessary.
Supports development of proposals, IWTAs, and scheduled work packages (SWPs) to the depot/mod sites for those aircraft to be inducted for modification or maintenance. Establishes and maintains formalized work processes within the IPT and acts as POC for reviewing and modifying procedures. Provides integration with the business and financial management and other product teams to prepare proposals, support task sheet development and prepare for program level reviews. Proposal support experience developing Statements of Work and Basis of Estimates task sheet development. Must have a working knowledge of sub-contractor management and be able to work with business and finance disciplines. Must have experience developing affordability and cost-benefit analyses. Will be required to track cost, schedule and performance metrics, and provide cost support to program and project managers in all facets of contract management. Will review status of projects and budgets, technical and cost inquiries, and support queries based on leadership direction. Earned Value experience is welcomed.
Will be required to represent the Team Leader in meetings and discussions with AMMM and Customer Program Management. Ability to understand the requirements and apply to depot-level heavy maintenance and aircraft modifications is a plus.
AMMM aircraft maintenance and modification experience
