Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineer in NAS Pax River, Maryland

Description: The Pax Flying Qualities (FQ) Engineer's primary roles will be to support structural FQ flight testing at Patuxent River Naval Air Station on the F-35B and F-35C aircraft. This includes providing real time control room monitoring support of FQ parameters on the STOVL and CV flight test aircraft, conducting pre-flight FQ predictions and post flight data requests, and supporting FQ flight test anomaly resolution and correlation of predictive aerodynamic databases with measured flight test data.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, other related technical field, or related work experience.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and MS Windows operating system.

Flying Qualities coursework or experience

Flight Test Experience

Computer programming experience in FORTRAN, VBA, or C/C++.

MATLAB experience

Experience working with UNIX based workstations.

Experience with the FQ analysis methods

Good written and verbal skills are required.
