Lockheed Martin Calibration Technician / Oldsmar, FL in Oldsmar, Florida
As related to the field of Metrology, perform electrical, electronic, RF/uWave, fiber optic, physical, and mechanical calibrations. Provide repair services for analog and digital type instruments. Provide electrical and mechanical support to engineering labs and engineers. Provide technical support to engineers working in primary areas such as manufacturing and product test; and perform in one or a combination of these primary responsibilities. Apply technical skills in hardware, software, and systems to assist engineers in support of production, program management, and maintenance of that equipment. Effectively use various computers, software, and both general and specific M&TE as required in performance of assigned duties. Enhance quality through compliance and operating procedures, audits, work accuracy and efficiency, and through documentation and recording of efforts. Provides training, instruction, and guidance to others as necessary. Promote safety of self, fellow employees, customers, the community, and the environment. Ensure that daily work is conducted in accordance with company policies concerning ethics and standards of business conduct.
Basic Qualifications Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training or a 2 year Technical Certificate. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with hands-on calibration of test equipment in a laboratory environment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must possess excellent customer service/relations skills. Competency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in DMM, oscilloscope, and power supply calibrations to include but not limited to Mechanical/Physical Dimensional calibrations i.e. micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and crimpers. Ability to function in a successful team environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desired skills Experience using Fluke MET/CAL, HT Basic for Windows, NI MAX, and MET/TEAM Significant experience in Electrical and Fiber Optic calibrations. Experience working within an AS9100 accredited laboratory. Experience working with uncertainty budgets.
