Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Planning Manager in Orlando, Florida

This management position provides leadership, direction, guidance and assistance to ensure communication and coordination to a multi-disciplined production control team responsible for various elements of the supply chain and manufacturing process. The position will include employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Counsel and mentor assigned employees as required. Coordinate the Production Control interfaces with other stake holders including Manufacturing, Inventory & Receiving Operations, Operations Program Management and Procurement. The position requires leadership skills that include the ability to organize / integrate high performance teams and to inspire / motivate employees to perform productively in a team environment. Establish and communicate organization vision and goals. Possess excellent communication skills including the ability to speak and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes openness and inclusion and delivers information in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making. An attitude that is mission success oriented with a bias for action with management skills that promote innovation and change. The position requires presentations to various levels of production operations leadership including Directors, Vice Presidents, Program Management and External Lockheed Martin Customers.

Basic Qualifications Prior experience working in a Manufacturing environment; experience leading cross-functional teams. Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Must also possess Full Spectrum Leadership competencies that include the ability to organize and integrate high performance teams that inspire and motivate employees to perform productively in a team environment.

Must have demonstrated experience working initiatives covering a wide scope of production control, operations and/or supply chain activities.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate/possess strong interpersonal skills; organizational skills; good oral and written communication skills; excellent customer service skills. Ideal candidate will also possess analytical skills and experience in a process driven environment.

Desired skills Green Belt Lean Six Sigma, Control Account Management / Earned Value &/or APICS training or certification is a plus.

Previous leadership (formal or informal) experience with documented success is highly desirable.

The candidate should be a recognized subject matter expert with a wide breadth of production control process experience.

Graduate level degree in business or engineering

An existing working relationship with production control and/or supply chain stakeholders is desirable.

Working knowledge and experience using ERP systems including SAP; strong Excel skills; MMAS experience; Capacity Planning experience
