Lockheed Martin Mechanical Design Engineer Lead/ Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida
Description: Primary role is to support and lead various special projects within a selected program area and support the Mechanical E&T Managers. Experienced Mechanical design engineer with competent Pro-E skills, familiarity with missile design, understanding of GD&T, engineering documentation, trade studies, drawing release and tolerance analysis proficiency.
Experience on tactical missile design and configuration, ability to perform trade studies and interface with major suppliers on complex mechanical assemblies.
Individual must be a self-starter and team player. Must have previous experience working with both customer and subcontractors. Must be willing to travel. Previous MFC lead experience is strongly desirable.
To drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, the Deputy Mechanical Engineering Lead is responsible for supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Department of Defense Interim Secret Clearance.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university (preferably in an engineering focused discipline) with a minimum of 9 years professional experience or 14 years professional experience in lieu of degree.
Must have extensive CAD (preferably Pro-E) experience specializing in design.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience as a technical lead (or IPT lead with similar technical leadership experience).
Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring.
Process Improvement and Affordability experience.
Full Lifecycle Development Experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs.
Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask.
Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts associated with all program phases of product development.
Technical depth and breadth in one or more Engineering disciplines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
Experience with sensor/ missile design, development and testing.
Experience with hardware development.
Manufacturing process development experience.
Control Account Management experience.
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams.
