Description: Designs and fabricates tools and parts in wood, metal, and plastic through machining and heat-treating operations. Works from blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions using math and basic computer skills. Maintains model shop machinery. May enter data from blueprints or databases into CAD/CAM system, generate numerical control program, and transmits program to machining center. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with test equipment processes of documentation; materials procurement; and fabrication.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
• Experience in oral and written communication to present and to motivate
Experience with work tracking data base systems for job input
Experience with customer interface to help to develop prototype designs
