Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to perform the following tasks:

Subsystem integration sequencing modeling in Creo to aid in parts assembly, subassembly/subsystem handling fixture design, coordinating structural testing on fabricated handling fixtures, subsystem general use mechanical and ground support equipment identification, piping and instrumentation diagram development for subsystem enabling resources (including but not limited to power, CDA, EGW), piping and instrumentation hardware installation, tuning, and calibration support for subsystem enabling resources (including but not limited to power, CDA, EGW), customer integration planning support Skills required are extensive Creo modeling and detail drawing generation, knowledge of GD&T, ability to perform complex tolerance analysis, good verbal communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience in test equipment and mechanical system development required. Hands-on hardware experience an absolute must have.

Candidate must be knowledgeable and proficient in the design and configuration of Multi-axis LOS Pointing Gimbals including Gimbal Balance and mass properties management.

Travel may be required on an as needed basis.

Basic Qualifications:

MUST be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferably engineering focused) OR a minimum of 9 years of professional experience in mechanical design without a Bachelor's Degree.

Must have at least 3 years of professional experience creating system level 3D CAD models and using them to create drawings.

Must have experience using Pro Engineer CREO.

Knowledge of GD&T.

Experience with all aspects of mechanical design, including layout and design documentation.

Good knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical engineering is essential.

Desired Skills:

This position will perform/ direct mechanical design, tolerance analyses, and drawing tasks. Primary tasks will include engineering lead detailed design/drawing support.
