Lockheed Martin Senior Specialist Diversity & Inclusion in Orlando, Florida
Description: The Senior Specialist will support design and implementation of D&I strategies to maintain a diverse and inclusive work environment. Specifically, the Senior Specialist will support ongoing culture and inclusion programs and assist in developing new programs that foster continuous improvement in D&I efforts to include design and delivery of training, presentations, targeted communications and other best practices to enhance employee and leadership engagement in D&I. The Specialist will perform tasks to include preparing Inclusion Council structure and process documentation; supporting and building partnerships with employee groups; partnering with external D&I STEM and community organizations; facilitating discussion sessions on sensitive D&I topics; writing or editing internal articles on D&I events; developing D&I publications that articulate D&I strategies and major initiatives for dissemination electronically and in hard copy; coordinating with Communications to develop materials and infographics to ensure wide support for D&I programs and events; performing benchmarking and assessing MFC’s D&I efforts with other BAs and local corporate peers; preparing and submitting high quality D&I nomination and external award packages to ensure that MFC employees receive national recognition for their outstanding achievements and to attract talent from underrepresented talent pools; maintaining internal D&I websites and SharePoint sites; creating posters and collateral to ensure that D&I messaging and themes reach employees at all locations; and developing and maintaining D&I toolboxes and other resources used to 1) provide inputs on common D&I questions, 2) house a library of D&I talking points and PPT presentations, and 3) support requests from leaders to develop activities that support an inclusive culture. The Specialist will also provide advice and guidance to HRBPs and D&I staff, as appropriate, and perform other tasks as required.
-6 years relevant work experience in Diversity & Inclusion or Human Resources
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Highly proficient organization and project management skills with ability to meet project deadlines
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Collaborative, approachable and innovative with demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels throughout the organization
-Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects
-Ability to travel and support external meetings and events
-Experience using MS Office
-Prior experience developing corporate diversity and inclusion strategies
-Prior experience working with diversity and inclusion councils and employee groups
-Prior experience developing diversity and inclusion communications
-Prior experience designing SharePoint sites and loading content
