Description: Develops Quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products. Maintains work instructions for inspection personnel, determining location and frequency of inspection steps throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Supports the Performance Management Teams with quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging. Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures actionees meet commitments. Dispositions non-conforming hardware, identified containment requirements, appropriate root cause is identified and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence. Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100. Interfaces with customers and program personnel on all quality related issues. Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product. May lead and give direction to subordinate personnel.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Engineering Degree

Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products

Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction.

Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Experience in disposition of non-conforming products

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.

Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated Presentation skills

Ability to travel

Ability to obtain a security clearance
