Description: Lockheed Martin’s Mission, Fire, & Control (MFC) organization in Orlando Florida is seeking a Senior Level Systems Engineer to work with the latest technologies in Mission Planning Systems development.

Selected candidate will:

- Design, update, enhance, and correct existing mission planning software products for the next generations of platforms.

-Determine and oversee software changes through entire life-cycle from concept through validation and sell-off.

Perform requirements analysis; software change report creation, management, and tracking; updating software and design requirement specifications, updating test procedures, software integration, test, and requirement verification.

This opportunity allows you to work directly with the product and have great impact on the program. Will be working directly with suppliers, resources, and customers to develop and integrate disparate software from multiple sources.

Domestic Travel will be required as needed.

Orlando is home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld. Orlando is also home to the second largest University in the US, the University of Central Florida (UCF). Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Desired Skills: Mission planning experience, operating system experience on SUN/UNIX and PC/Windows, software development experience, integrating disparate software from multiple sources, test and troubleshooting software releases, supplier management experience, training package development and presentation, travel is expected. JMPS experience desired.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance prior to start

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or the Sciences required.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in systems engineering is required.
