Description: Candidates with bachelors or master’s degrees in electrical, systems, or computer science should explore the opportunities available in the Owego Systems engineering organization; there are also opportunities for mathematics and physics degrees. The entry level positions available will support government fixed or rotary wing aircraft contracts and programs as well as distribution technologies programs. Specific opportunities exist in the following areas: systems architecture development, systems design and analysis, system requirements definition and decomposition, system integration & test, electronic warfare architecture & system development, aircraft communication systems, networking and computing, aircraft navigation, sensors & weapons and mission planning, avionics aircraft installation design (electrical) and lab design.
System engineering tasks may include: technical trade studies, requirements allocation and equipment interface definitions, system design, translation of customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, documentation review and update, equipment and software integration, lab regression testing, flight test support, analysis & documentation of problem trouble reports, written and verbal status of testing progress to the concurrent engineering team. Electrically focused candidates may develop, design and test of electrical and electromechanical components and assemblies for integration on rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft, design of system level schematics, cable assembly drawings and cable interconnect diagrams
All candidates will work in a team environment and must be able to effectively communicate and interface with others including Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management and Suppliers.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or physics from an accredited college.
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Requirement
Interim Secret Clearance required
Prior technical internships or co-ops
