Description: This position fulfills an airworthiness technical lead role in support of the Lockheed Martin Rotary Mission System business area. The candidate will work alongside the air worthiness subject matter expert and provide technical leadership and guidance to internal and external customers for airworthiness requirements and work product development. Roles and responsibilities included working closely with the platform engineering team and Customer team on airworthiness and system engineering.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have a good foundation in Systems Engineering practices, processes, procedures with experience with aircraft modification, design, and certification processes and standards, as well as, general experience with aircraft avionics, electrical system, structures, software, safety, environmental qualification, with in-depth knowledge in select areas. Candidate must have sound organizational skills, written and oral communications skills and be familiar with configuration and data management process and practices. Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and Power point. Candidate must also have experience with requirement tracking tools (such as DOORs).

Desired Skills:

Candidate should have aircraft development or modification experience in a critical area (avionics, structures, etc), Experience in military or civil airworthiness certification projects, and Generation and execution of airworthiness plans. Candidate should have experience in Work Estimation for support of proposals and budgeting/ planning, as well as, Project Planning and management. It is desired that the candidate have experience or familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516, ADS-51-HDBK, ADS-64, AR 70-62, AFPD 62-6, and/or 49USC & 14CFR, as well as, experience with Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria/Modification Airworthiness Certification.
