Lockheed Martin Completion Associate Manager in Palmdale, California

Description: This leadership position is with our excellent U2 Dragon lady program in Palmdale, Ca. Working in the Back shop supporting the Aft Fuselage PDM activities and Spares/CRO efforts. This position will also oversee the wing shop PDM buildup.

Will lead Production Operations activities and represented workforce to accomplish safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives for the U-2 Program on first shift. Responsible for following the workflow of all Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) activities using metrics, EVMS and shipside schedules and adjust manpower as needed to maintain schedule and cost. Ensure employee training and certifications are current. Provide a safe work environment, and take immediate action to address any unsafe conditions. Implement and enforce importance of FOD, general housekeeping, and 6S Standards. Ensures represented employees comply with defined core and program specific processes and procedures. Will interface on a daily basis with support organizations to ensure program requirements are being met. Must be pro-active, self-motivated, maintain a positive attitude, and be diplomatic. Foster a positive team environment with all personnel. Expected to lead various aspects of organizational functions ie: 6S implementation, Quality Council, Corrective Action Plan coordination and compliance, etc. Maintain and improve OSEP/PSEP and compliance based inspection scores within various work centers. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of continuously supervising multiple tasks across a variety of disciplines and workcenters.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

--Demonstrated knowledge of Aircraft and or component systems checkout and troubleshooting experience.

--Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft reassembly procedures. 5 Years experience.

--Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing systems such as Shop Floor Manager (SFM), Electronic Work Instructions (EWI) and the Quality Assurance Document System (QADS). 5 years experience

--Working knowledge of crew plans and forecasting Manpower requirements. 5 years experience

--Must have an interim secret to start and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

--U-2 Process/Technical Data Knowledge.

--Experience in leading represented employees.

--Ability to drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.

--Must have effective verbal and written communications

--Previous U-2 or fighter aircraft experience

--Working knowledge of EVMS
