The selected candidate will join the LMA Classified Cybersecurity Team as a COMSEC Manager supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) located at Palmdale, CA to ensure classified information systems (IS) meet cybersecurity requirements and government directives.

COMSEC duties will be performed in accordance with National Security Agency (NSA) Central Security Service Policy Manual No. 3-16 & related COMSEC derivatives as well as other customer and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, COMSEC Manager: detailed knowledge in cryptographic techniques including use of US Electronic Keying Management System (EKMS), crypto key generation and distribution; experience in Benign technique; conduct normal operations of managing a COMSEC Account; install key and diagnostic testing of COMSEC equipment and provide COMSEC support/oversight to establish secure voice, data links systems and navigation as required; ensure COMSEC compliance in support of successful government reviews.

Candidate will support the development/administration of a robust COMSEC Training Program for the COMSEC user community on handling of keying material, aids and equipment; support COMSEC Material Control System and inventory; safeguard/account for classified and unclassified COMSEC Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCIs); disseminate, inventory, and destroy COMSEC keying material; maintain COMSEC records; perform courier duties for COMSEC material and equipment, perform all COMSEC related investigations and comply with security procedures. Candidate may be required to provide support to other off-site locations.

Assist in data integrity containments and investigations on IA related security violations/incidents.

Candidate will interface with internal/external customers to identify requirements and provide problem resolution.

Publicize and maintain security directives, policies and procedures.

Candidate must have a Final DoD Top Secret security clearance, based upon a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check (NAC/LC) conducted within the last five years and access eligibility for Special Access Programs and be SCI eligible.

Applicants selected will be subject to routine government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with National Security Agency (NSA) 3-16 COMSEC directives.

Experience managing COMSEC and performing Local Management Device/Key Processor (LMD/KP) administration.

Candidate experienced with Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) and possess National Security Agency (NSA) IAEC 2112 COMSEC Custodian Course Certification/Training.

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting Special Access Required (SAR) security environments.

Experience ensuring routine destruction of COMSEC material is accomplished in accordance with the requirements of this Instruction and CNSSI No. 4004.1, Destruction and Emergency Protection Procedures for COMSEC and Classified Material

Experience making transportation arrangements and ensuring only authorized means are used for transporting COMSEC material
