Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer in Palmdale, California

Description: Candidate will work in a manufacturing environment and work cross-functionally with operations team to support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) ERP4C.

Candidate will work with core support team to troubleshoot, design and develop requirements for the MES system. Candidate will work trouble tickets, participate in design reviews and work with core IT/One Aero team on the development of new capabilities for MES system.

Candidate will be responsible for identifying system issues and making recommendations for corrections.

Candidate must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing process and procedures including fabrication, assembly and coatings in several disciplines including composites, metallics, machining, bonded assemblies, and installations.

Candidate must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling and production planning.

A thorough understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and facility lay-outs is required. Previous experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements is required.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

Working experience with SAP, engineering documents, specifications and policies.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment and have a strong understanding of engineering principles and MRP.

Knowledge of Aerospace standards, regulations and procedures.

Understanding of AS9100

Desired Skills:

Previous experience working with shop personnel.

-Understanding of LM Palmdale company policies, procedures and systems including ERP4C and One-Aero.

-Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, Planning, Production Control, ERP, MRP, Quality or systems integration.

-Previous experience with developmental programs

-Lean manufacturing experience
