Lockheed Martin Program Mgmt Embedded S/W Group Lead in Palmdale, California
The successful candidate will lead of team of engineers to develop Operational Flight Programs (OFPs) for both manned and unmanned aircraft. The OFPs encompass vehicle management and flight control software, I/O management for various signal and interface types, and interactions with mission software functions. The team will also develop the simulation, test, and checkout software for the target systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing schedules and cost baselines, executing to the plan, and reporting financial and technical status.
As the group lead, the successful candidate will work with program leadership to grow the team to support significant new work and develop skillsets in the existing staff. The lead will be responsible for establishing plans for product development, and delivering work products within baseline cost and schedule. The lead will balance team member assignments and priorities across multiple concurrent activities and multiple stakeholders.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance with an investigation w/in the last 5 years.
Basic Qualifications - Experience shaping and leading a team - Experience with Jira, Git with BitBucket, and Jenkins or similar collaboration tools - Cost account manager experience - Experienced leader of Agile / Scrum teams - Experience with Software languages: C99, C++ - Experience with Software DevOps environment design, setup, and management - Experience with Secure coding standards and static code analysis tools - This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance with an investigation w/in the last 5 years.
Desired skills The ideal candidate will have a proven record of holding design to the minimum needed to meet threshold program requirements. This includes the ability to effectively communicate design minimum thresholds to the customer engineering organization and work with program management to generate Engineering Change Proposals in support of customer objectives. Demonstrated ability to align company investments and customer funded efforts to achieve strategic business objectives
