Lockheed Martin Security Manager in Palmdale, California

Description: As the Security Manager for the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) portfolio, the candidate will be responsible for leading a team of security professionals in their day-to-day activities that provide a variety of support to Special Access Programs (SAPs) that include: classification management, media control, visitor/badge administration, security education, physical security, DD-254 administration and subcontractor management, system security plan development, classified cybersecurity oversight, etc.

Responsible for establishing, executing, and evolving a comprehensive and advancing set of SAP policies, plans, and practices that consistently, effectively, and efficiently support business operations.

Candidate will be required to interface with Executive Program Management in support of ongoing program operations.

Candidate will work collaboratively with other program entities and manage several projects and subordinate assignments simultaneously within time-sensitive environments.

Candidate will build and maintain effective internal and external customer focused relationships.

Candidate must demonstrate strong leadership characteristics and interpersonal skills needed to implement change in an inclusive and collaborative manner.

Candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, work assignments, salary and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position is located in a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience in managing Security Teams and environments, with prior security experience in Special Access Programs (SAPs).

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

Desired Skills:

Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently and across an ambiguous and uncertain landscape. The individual must be able to motivate, inspire, and grow subordinate security team members. The ability to articulate and present intelligent security based recommendations, derived from limited and or conflicting information, is also essential. The selected candidate will be highly organized and have very advanced oral and written communication skills.

Candidate must possess at least three years of leadership experience. Experience is also desired as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), Alternate Contractor Program Security Officer (ACPSO), and/or Facility Security Officer (FSO), working on either a Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), DoD Collateral Program, and/or Personnel Security, Physical Security, Security Education & Training.
