Our company is looking to hire a skilled contract professional to support capture efforts and contract administration of various domestic and international commercial programs within the Lockheed Martin Energy line of business, with principal focus in support of the Energy Storage and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) program areas. The ideal candidate has prior experience with pre-award and post-award contract administration of energy storage projects, energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs), and ESPC project task orders. The candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision. The qualified individual must be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers.
Specific capture effort tasks will include:
Developing a contracts position and articulating concerns to the business to ensure a compliant proposal while maintaining the competitive edge.
Coordinating and participating in management reviews, including Independent Non-Advocate Reviews and Executive Planning Panels.
Contract negotiations, award and administration.
Baseline Reviews and Program Area Reviews.
Working with internal General Counsel, Risk Management, Capture Office, Commercial Sales, engineering, Deployment, Supply Chain, IP Counsel, and Finance departments to negotiate and manage the contract process.
Specific contract administration tasks will include:
Negotiating, extending, terminating and renegotiating standard and nonstandard contracts.
Evaluating contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
Maintaining communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties.
Ensuring final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiation.
Desired Skills: Understanding of commercial contracting methods.
Familiarity with energy savings performance contracts.
Experience with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Army, Navy, and other agency ESPC contract vehicle holders.
Understanding financing for energy efficiency projects.
Familiarity with contracts for energy storage projects.
Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.
Ability to work independently, be self-directed, innovative and results oriented.
Exhibits a proactive approach to work.
Works well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Contracting professionals with commercial renewable energy, domestic and international; U.S. government contracts experience not mandatory but is a plus. The following areas are preferred to support lithium ion storage, solar and other renewable energy related agreements:
Master Services Agreements
Engineering Procurement Construction Contracts
Civil Works Contracts
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Contracts
Operation and Maintenance Agreements
Grid Connection Agreements
Power Purchase Agreements
Contracting experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) in the Commercial environment involving the areas of Energy Storage and Performance Contracting.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Experience reviewing and evaluating customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts.
Experience and knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code and the FAR.
Experience working directly with the customer on multiple contract types, including one or more of the following: Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Time & Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
