Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Staff in San Antonio, Texas
Description: Lockheed Martin (LM) Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) is designing the DoD Unified Platform (UP) solution known as a multi-domain Joint Integrated Cyberspace Mission System called Henosis (Ancient Greek word for “union” or “unity”)
Through the US Air Force Cyber Command, the DoD has issued a competitive bid for a “phased” three year contract to realize their Unified Platform solution. When we win the contract, development work will be performed primarily in San Antonio, TX with some work being performed in Colorado Springs, CO. LM is looking for “Cyber passionate” engineers with varied experiences such as software, systems, and integration/test engineering. All development work will be performed in an agile environment, to deliver quality products and technical solution with cost efficiency to our customer.
This leadership position is in direct support to the United Platform Program located in San Antonio, TX with the Air Force Cyber Command. Expect at least 25% travel to LM facilities. Candidate will partner with various scrum teams to help them evolve from simply getting delivery practices up and running to operating in a high performing, effective manner. Candidate will apply extensive technical expertise, developing technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Candidate will work to facilitate team delivery, remove impediments, and help the team hold one another accountable to each other and their commitments. The candidate will reside within one to two delivery teams, including acting as the champion of the team’s processes and aim to foster empowerment, collaboration, and team ownership of actions and decisions. Candidate will interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters that require coordination between organizations.
More than 3 years of recent SAFe® experience
Formally certified as a SAFe® 4.5 Program Consultant (SPC)
More than 2 years of training experience (any discipline)
Ability to interface with senior leadership and government professionals
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
