Lockheed Martin Field Technician - Logistics, Test Support, Boat Captain in San Diego, California
Description: Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment in support of Unmanned Underwater Vehicle programs. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs small boats and handling equipment including four Zodiac 11M RHIBs, one Conolift SP-30 self-propelled trailer, one Conolift SP-60 self-propelled trailer, and one 26-foot push boat for UUV at-sea transport. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. Qualified boat operator, which may include 11M RHIB, 27’ Boston Whaler, 38’ Northwind RHIB, and Zodiac F-580 Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC). Develops a regular maintenance schedule for boats and trailers and shall ensure that maintenance is conducted at qualified boatyard facilities in the San Diego area. Purchase material to perform onsite and offsite repair and maintenance.
Daily work location at SSC PAC, Point Loma.

- Exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work independently.
- Proficient in MS Office products to include Word and Excel.
- Experience with 11m RHIB repair and operation
- Training in operation of small boats
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
