Lockheed Martin Software Build, Configuration, and Release Management in Shelton, Connecticut

Description: Support the development and delivery of leading-edge Interactive Electronic Technical Manual and logistics software application projects. Support the creation of innovative software product improvements that exceed customer needs/expectations and contribute to product life cycle cost reductions.

• Perform software build and configuration tasks, test and validate software installations and document process steps

• Perform application packaging, testing and deployment activities for multiple software environments

• Interact with internal and external customers to provide application support and troubleshooting for multiple software environments

• Participate in continuous product-improvement initiatives including design, development and testing of automated tools

• Work with IT and Infrastructure teams as required to support environmental changes driven by company initiatives

- Disk encryption software (Endpoint, Roxio)

- Process control, process improvement/value-stream mapping skills

- Systems Engineering process and Information Assurance

- SharePoint

- MS Project

- Multimedia integration

- Issue tracking and supporting tools - ex. JIRA

- Software documentation through all development phases

- Content management systems

- Configuration management using open source tools such as Subversion, etc.

- Agile SDLC, software configuration management practices, release management methodologies and production deployment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

- Knowledge of HTML, XML and/or SGML data structures

- Experience with Windows OS

- Experience with DOS commands

- Experience with Internet Explorer

- Familiarity with the software development life cycle

- Proficiency in software testing/troubleshooting/ technical research

- Understanding of Hardware and Server configurations

- MS Office Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Strong organizational skills

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Strong written and oral communications skills

- Detail oriented, team-oriented

- Ability to effectively work with customers and stakeholders
