Lockheed Martin Calibration Production Assistant in Silverdale, Washington

Description: Independently pick up, deliver, receive and prepare test equipment for processing throughout the Calibration Laboratory. Perform direct customer service liaison functions in performance of duties. Test and assist in the preparation and testing of calibration equipment through the use of calibration certifier systems or under the supervision of qualified calibration technicians, OJT training.

Working with a qualified calibration technician, provide assistance for on-site calibrations, as required.

Using established procedures load the automatic calibration certifier system. Follow on-screen instructions to perform tasks such as connecting coded plugs and turning knobs and switches. Recognize when test system may be cause of apparent failure and bring to attention of cognizant technical personnel. Place labels and tags on units that have passed certification and move to outgoing racks; identify units that have failed certification and route to repair/calibration technicians. Identify errors in operating procedures and notify cognizant technical person.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a US Citizen. Must not posses dual citizenship.

Must have a valid state driver's license.

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Secret Clearance, including an Interim Secret clearance to start.

Ability to understand and follow U.S. Government regulations and Company procedures governing transportation, proper handling and protection of sensitive instruments and materials.

Ability to use automatic test equipment and computer applications.

Physically able to climb ladders, lift equipment up to 50 pounds, sit and stand for extended period of time, and work in an industrial environment.

Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator’s license.

Ability to qualify for and maintain qualifications/certifications to perform assigned duties.

Possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to use general purpose hand tools.
