This position is located at the Bangor Naval Base - Kitsap in Silverdale, Washington. Provide Technical/Engineering support to Navy and Lockheed Martin Customers in performance of D5 Missile Support Systems such as Crane, Support Equipment, Handling and Transportation Equipment for operational use in the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. Individual will be expected to develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying complexity, perform in a team environment and work under the direction of a group lead. Technical responsibilities will include providing guidance for support equipment, operations, disassembly, assembly, discrepancy identification, maintenance and repair. Candidate will provide technical guidance during the isolation and correction of discrepant conditions, equipment defects, and procedural difficulties encountered on production floor. Candidate should have a good understanding and ability to apply Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering principles, theories and concepts. RFID knowledge and experience are highly desirable. Candidate should have working familiarity with Software Tools and Applications such as AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, SolidWorks, and office computer tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Candidate must be flexible to accept some variation in work scope and shifts. Travel may be required on occasion. Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Recent or current applicable Security Clearance highly desirable.
-Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience.
-The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret at Start
-Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
-Familiarity with Software Tools and Applications such as AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, Solidworks
-Familiarity with office computer tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
-Ability to work within a team
Demonstrated ability to perform independently
-Problem solving analytical skills
-2D or 3D CAD experience/training
-Recent/active security clearance
-Able to work overtime and odd shift when necessary
-Able to work on various scope/ assignments including documentation review, process improvement, metrics, etc.
