Lockheed Martin Intelligence Analyst in Stafford, Virginia

Description: All intelligence analyst will be required to carry out an assortment of analytical, operational and investigatory counterintelligence (CI) functions that further the enterprises strategy to identify and deter threats of espionage, intelligence collection, terrorism and other potential risks to the corporation’s critical infrastructure and information, and then develop strategies to mitigate those threats. This position will principally focus on the timely conduct of CI analysis programs through an assortment of roles and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

• CI Analysis. Candidate will be required to utilize government, open source and other commercially available systems and databases to review, collect, analyze, evaluate and interpret raw intelligence data for the primary purpose of producing actionable intelligence deliverables/products for the Director of CI Operations and other designated leaders. Data collection and analysis will be carried out across an assortment of different locations which include on-site operations, off-site government installations, and off-site company locations.

• CI Intelligence Action Reports. The selected candidate will also be required to generate intelligence action briefings and reports from finished intelligence data and identify potential gaps or shortfalls related to threats, assets and operations. On occasion such data will also make actionable and risk-appropriate recommendations relative to risk-mitigation and countermeasure strategies. Preparation of the Quarterly Facility Reporting Matrix, Facility Snapshots, help to maintain the threat mitigation library, review and vet unsolicited foreign originated web forms to Lockheed Martin and submit actionable forms to the U.S. Government via the Business Area CI Leads. Attend a weekly meeting with the other cleared industry partner companies, to collaborate in best CI and Security practices via information sharing. Prepare the weekly Suspicious Contact Report (SCR) round-up report and disseminate to the Security Group. Prepare and disseminate the 12 x 13 charts for Lockheed Martin’s cleared facilities on a quarterly basis. In a timely manner, conduct name checks in support of the Business Area CI Leads.

• Other CI Activities. In addition to the above focus areas, the selected candidate will also support the Director of CI Operations in the areas of CI investigations, damage assessments, insider threat, threat and asset management, cyber integration, training and awareness and corporate governance programs.

This position is assigned to Corporate Headquarters, Bethesda, Maryland, but primary day-to-day duty location will be in Quantico, VA

Desired Skills: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered an emerging authority.

Must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual, possessing excellent interpersonal liaison skills.

A working knowledge of IC threat systems, analysis tools and data mining techniques are required as is an acute understanding of an adversary’s use of people, systems, technology, techniques and open sources for acquiring targeted critical or sensitive information.

General knowledge of the intelligence community’s efforts to counter foreign, domestic, cyber, criminal and other threats associated with espionage, intelligence collection or terrorism.

Certification as an analyst or CI agent from a DoD, FBI or DNI accredited program is also desired.

General knowledge of U.S. Codes associated with espionage, economic espionage, and theft of trade secrets (18 USC sec. 793, 1831, 1832, etc.).

Proficient knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office Professional Suite, database management tools, and other basic IT or web enabling skills is also desired.

Active CI Poly clearance is desired.


Minimum of 5 years proficient knowledge and prior work experience within the US government or contract counterintelligence community countering foreign, domestic, cyber, criminal and other threats associated with espionage, intelligence collection and terrorism.

Extensive external liaison activities across the Intelligence Community, DoD, FBI, state/local law enforcement agencies and the Defense Industrial Base is required, as is extensive internal collaboration across numerous functions.

Mission of Defense Security Service (DSS) Counterintelligence (CI) Directorate: Identify unlawful penetrators of cleared U.S. defense industry and articulate the threat for industry and U.S. government leaders. With that mission in mind, the CI Directorate's premier publication, Targeting U.S. Technologies: Ability to succinctly summarize and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable threat and vulnerability assessments, short and long range reports. Must also be able to apply knowledge of CI concepts, principles and practices to help plan and conduct a full range of CI support.

A Trend Analysis of Reporting from Defense Industry, analyzes suspicious contact reports (SCRs) from across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) describing suspicious foreign activity targeting U.S. personnel, technologies, and export-controlled products.

Effective written and verbal communication skills are required as is the ability to create and deliver concise messages and unambiguous policies, procedures and practices that promote CI strategies.

Optimally possess an active TS/SCI and CI polygraph prior to start

Must be flexible to work at Lockheed Martin's Corporate Headquarters in Bethesda, MD, until completely cleared to work in Quantico, VA.
