Lockheed Martin BLACK HAWK Modernization Manager in Stratford, Connecticut
Description: Army Programs is seeking a motivated, forward thinking and technologically adept candidate to lead BLACK HAWK modernization and platform obsolescence programs. The role will report to the UH / HH 60 Production Senior Program Manager. Primary responsibilities include maturing the BLACK HAWK product strategy, maintaining and executing product roadmap, and driving business growth. Additionally, the role will support coordination of proposals, business plans, and statements of work for all modernization projects. The prime focus for the BLAWK HAWK modernization program office will be leading technical performance, cost and schedule objectives to implement the Army’s top platform priorities focused around ITE integration and Autonomy (OPV) technology insertion. The incumbent will also be responsible for executing an obsolescence management plan to enable identification of actual and potential obsolescence issues as well as develop and execute risk mitigation plans for Contractor Furnished Material (CFM) challenges that may occur during the performance of the MYIX contract. The successful candidate will act as the primary customer contact for program activities related to modernization and obsolescence projects.
Additional duties include planning, project execution and control, resource supply/demand management, communication, risk analysis, quality assurance, team and subcontractor management and project implementation. Proven expertise in project planning methodology and in leading a matrix managed team through a project life cycle is critical. Relationship building skills are essential as well as the ability to manage complex, large-scale project schedules with multiple inter-dependencies. Expertise in managing budgets, work plans and schedules, deliverables and responsibility matrices is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with personnel / customers ranging from inexperienced employees thorough General or Executive Leadership level.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
