Compiles and reviews budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration. Performs multiple financial cost analyses functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the company's cost accounting system.
Establishes and coordinates business rhythms required to accomplish program control, analyses and forecasting objectives. Utilizing applicable project management tools, implement network logic and measurement methods to perform critical path and risk analyses. Communicate schedule impacts and propose corrective actions to applicable stakeholders.
Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of cost proposals in accordance with customer request for proposal (RFP) specifications and current RMS estimating guidelines. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in customer fact-finding meetings. Participates in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
Negotiates, administers, extends, terminates and renegotiates standard and nonstandard contracts. Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations. Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
Interns who perform with excellence and meet minimum qualifications may be extended a full-time offer to join our Early Career Development Program (ECDP) after graduation.
Desired Skills: - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel knowledge highly preferred for Finance positions
- Knowledge of financial systems such as SAP and Hyperion
- Familiar with professional planning software such as Microsoft Project
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Familiar with GAAP
