Lockheed Martin Dynamic Systems Engineering Summer Intern in Stratford, Connecticut

The transmissions structures engineering summer intern will assist in the evaluation of helicopter transmission components for static strength and fatigue life. Some examples of the types of components under consideration are gears, shafts, housings, and splines. A solid machine design course at the undergraduate level provides the basis for much of the work. Because presenting results clearly and concisely is a significant part of the job, excellent communication skills are required.

Basic Qualifications Candidates must be pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the following majors: Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Desired skills Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills and a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. Course work or work experience with any of the following applications is a plus: MatLab, CATIA, ANSYS
