Lockheed Martin Space has an immediate opportunity for a senior level key leader of a fast-paced Supply Chain organization responsible for delivering significant Enterprise value by shaping the future of our supply chain systems and processes. Your responsibilities in this role will include:
•Lead a talented team of procurement engineers responsible for developing, operationally deploying and executing a suite of strategic tools, applications and processes that drive supply chain performance. improvement and better position us for the future.
•Ensure successful development and implementation of transformative supply chain tools and applications, drive alternate source and technology insertion plans, lead supplier improvement initiatives & coordinate corporate and external outreach.
•Maintain program value centered focus by delivering the right product at the right time with high attention and detail to performance improvement and cost commitments.
•Create and refine risk management tools to support programs’ ability to control costs and schedule.
•Attract, develop and retain talent to improve the overall group performance.
•Provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to assist subordinates in professional development.
•Institutionalize cross-pollination of experience within the team to ensure knowledge transfer of critical skills.
This position will be located in either Sunnyvale, CA, or Littleton, CO and will require travel (up to 25%) to support multiple fast paced programs and initiatives. Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate business cases, ROI and deployment status of initiatives.
•Technical Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a technical degree, candidates who have non-technical degrees with equivalent experience demonstrating technical acumen with space programs and/or projects will also be considered.
•Minimum of 5 years related subcontract, program management and/or technical leadership experience, proven record of successful performance with focus on product deployment and execution, demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills.
•Leadership experience delivering Supply Chain technical solutions and strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate business cases and ROI.
•An aptitude for leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives of Shaping the Future, Building Effective Relationships, Energizing the Team, Delivering Results and Modeling Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability.
•Demonstrated skills to effect significant change in culture supporting enterprise initiatives (i.e. hardware commonization and insertion into programs, shift to "we vs. me" behaviors).
•Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive and inspire results/resolution of technical issues and outcomes through teamwork.
•Drive technical supply chain personnel to desired outcomes.
•Partner with team on all levels of the organization and program customers .
•Develop strong supplier relationships and relationships with IPT members.
•Implement change leading to improved team and supplier performance.
•Technical knowledge of space products and familiarity with the LM Space Programs.
•Excellent visualization, presentation and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
•Passion for playing a critical role in the transformation of an entire organization.
•Demonstrated ability working with all levels of the organization, internal/external.
•Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects at one time.
