Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA has an immediate opportunity for an early career Program Planner to support the SBIRS (Space Based Infrared System) satellite system and OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared) missions, considered one of the nation’s highest priority space program providing early missile warning for the U.S. military. As our new Program Planning team member, you will need to be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, leads by example, and has the uncanny ability to influence and foster collaboration and teamwork that generate impactful results. You will be part of a team to plan and manage detailed schedule networks from design, assembly, test, and into operations. Responsibilities will include:
•Interfacing with Engineering, Finance and Business Operations, and Program Management while working with the entire planning team to translate authorized customer requirements into the performance measurement baseline
•Developing and maintaining compliant Integrated Master Schedules which accurately and comprehensively validate contractual scope, work flow, and resources required to execute the program
•Working with cross-functional teams to drive progress and performance, monitor changes and status, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
•Assisting in negotiating handoffs between product areas regarding technical content and schedules as well as facilitating workaround planning as required
•Serving as liaison by maintaining, publishing, and presenting relevant planning and scheduling information and metrics to provide visibility and communicate potential issues to management and engineering
Must be a US Citizen. This position does not require a clearance to begin employment, but you must be willing to obtain a clearance after employment has started.
Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

•Bachelors degree with 2-5 years professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. In lieu of a degree, candidates who have 7-8 years of relevant job experience will also be considered
•United States citizenship
•Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
•Working knowledge of a scheduling tool such as MS Project, Real Time Project, or Primavera
•Experience analyzing data
•Ability to perform typical schedule integrity checks and critical path analysis
•Earned value management experience
•Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
