Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer (early career) in Sunnyvale, California
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of elements, subsystems, and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, assist Test Leads in the development of Plans and Procedures for upcoming Test events, and develop comprehensive giver-receiver lists and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Track resource delivery to ensure readiness for test execution. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems. As part of the Advanced EHF (AEHF) Program will assist senior engineers in performing a wide variety of systems engineering tasks and activities. Analyze, integrate, and document system requirements to be incorporated into facility and/or support System Test development. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations and develop associated technical documentation. Provide engineering evaluations, analysis, and documentation that contributes to Peer Reviews, and Technical Interchanges. Support System Test development for Factory and On-Orbit testing of the AEHF Satellite. Integrate efforts across diverse organizations to execute interface requirements development and Testing.
Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or related discipline • Ability to comprehend systems from end-to-end and envision the system's interaction with other systems • Effective, proven communications and presentations skills; Demonstrated pro-activeness and problem solving skills
Desired skills • Familiar with Milstar or AEHF • System Level Test Experience • On-orbit Satellite Operations Experience • Experience in inter-segment or segment level testing • Systems or Software Engineering experience • Active Secret clearance • RF skills/experience a plus
