As a Systems Engineer, you will work in the Special Programs group of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry Programs organization. This position is to remain in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will primarily focus on providing system engineering support to the development phase of the RANGER program, including but not limited to:

• Ensuring infrastructure meets program needs

• Integration of design trade studies between analysts, flight sciences personnel and designers

• Integration between engineering and manufacturing

• Test plan development and oversight of testing

• Verification and validation

• Preparation of systems engineering products and documentation.

Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience. You must be a US citizen and posses an active Top Secret security clearance, with a current background investigation. The candidate must also meet additional government eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizen with an active TS Clearance and ability to meet additional government eligibility requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college

• Technical engineering or equivalent job experience

• Experience evaluating / developing technical concepts and/or associated trade studies

• Ability to plan, propose, and handle project budgets and schedules

• MS Office

• Good social skills

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Reentry Bodies and Reentry Vehicle Technologies

• Ground test experience (such as thermo/vac, shock and vibe, antenna, etc.)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, peers and subordinates

• Willingness to travel
