Lockheed Martin Production Manager / Troy, AL in Troy, Alabama

This position will provide operations management of the LRSS AUR facility. Duties include performance measurement and strategic affordability improvement planning, supervisory oversight of production leads, facilities needs analysis, functional leadership of process improvements, and coaching of a cross-functional work team. External cross-functional coordination will include compliance, security, facilities, and safety organizations. Additional duties may entail management of large scale NRE projects, production work scheduling, leadership of novel process development, and the coordination of non-standard work schedules. Position interfaces directly with senior management on and off site, as well as government and military officials in a professional capacity. Position reports to the senior manager, LRSS AUR facility.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications Successful candidate will have a B.S. degree with extensive professional experience in manufacturing. Demonstrated success in operations leadership, non-standard work schedules, incident management, and continuous improvement methods are essential. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. A Final Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a SAR clearance is required.

Desired skills B.S. in a technical field with ordnance manufacturing experience. Advanced education and training in fields related to ordnance manufacturing, familiarity with LRSS products and manufacturing methods, awareness of system safety analysis methods, demonstrated leadership of large organizations, MFC systems (CAPP, APECS, MAC) proficiency.
