Lockheed Martin Engineering Project Manager in Uniondale, New York

Description: The candidate will support the inertial navigator production acceptance criteria effort. Tasking will include including generating high level acceptance approach, directing engineering to validate options and discussions with subcontractors on specific criteria.

The candidate will support the velocity filter re-design, working with engineering to define system requirements, evaluate prototype designs.

The candidate will assist in knowledge transfer activities for inertial navigator systems, Fiber Optic Gyro Navigators, and sensor fusion for inertial, sonar and gravity integration

The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation if a clearance is not currently possessed. Some travel may be a required.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (software engineering, computer science/engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.

Candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance

Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, make effective and timely decisions, solve challenging technical problems, and facilitate process changes to streamline activities.

Experience with planning, organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively with little supervision.

Desired Skills:

Contain a breadth of knowledge in various technologies, modern networking, communications protocols, and experience with navigation principals and application. Familiarity with Inertial Navigators, GPS, SONAR or general signal processing.

Experience with all aspects of Systems Engineering including behavioral analysis, system modeling, requirement traceability, performance analysis, simulation and test automation.
