Lockheed Martin Protocol-Events Rep in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description: Support critical customer and employee engagements to enable growth of Rotary and Mission Systems. The protocol/events representative brings vital skills and experience to execute a wide variety of domestic and international events and customer engagement activities. This role primarily focused on ship milestone events and will support other efforts ranging from facility visits to large ceremonial events this role interacts with all levels of the corporation and provides an opportunity to learn proven customer intimacy techniques. This is an opportunity to be a central contributor to the continued success of Rotary & Mission Systems and ensure we are delivering a world class customer experience. Through building agendas, event production schedules, managing logistics (hotels, transportation, catering, etc.), developing product exhibits and advising on protocol and compliance topics the protocol-events representative ensures flawless execution of these activities. Additional responsibilities include staffing plans, budgets, after action reports, and vendor management. This position includes interaction with company executives to set expectations and standards, work plans and logistics, as well as train and facilitate proper meeting protocol for all meeting participants. Must have ability to present to cross-functional teams and executive leadership, strong organizational, business and financial acumen, and ability to function well in a collaborative team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

- Proven past experience supporting or leading events

- Ability to travel frequently

- Working knowledge of MS Office products

- Strong multitasking skills and ability to plan multiple events with general supervision

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of international and military/government protocol

- Strong writing and verbal skills, and presentation abilities.

- Past experience negotiating pricing and agreements with vendors and supplier.
